There are several different types of income streams to consider when becoming an internet entrepreneur. You can choose to use one or all of them to become successful.
Most internet entrepreneurs will develop multiple income streams where they don’t always have to have hands-on involvement. This creates a great retirement fund later on down the road.
Passive income is income that requires little or no effort to gain. It is the number one money making income of internet entrepreneurs.
You are probably familiar with passive income. Property rental is the most common form of passive income. Royalties are a form of passive income as well. There are also earnings from internet web sites that are considered passive. To be a successful internet entrepreneur you will want to generate some passive income. You won’t get rich overnight with it but it will always be a steady source of income. This is the best way to work less and earn more and that is any successful person’s goal.
Another income stream is residual income. This is a form of income that occurs over time from a one time project. This income doesn’t usually require personal involvement after that. An example of residual income would be a photographer placing photos on a stock site and then when someone purchases one of their photos they receive a royalty. Or another example could be the creation of an academic workbook that is purchased for courses by students.
A third type of income stream for the internet entrepreneur is the leveraged income. This income is produced by the work of other people. There are many different ways to gain this income but it basically means you don’t work to reap the benefits. An example of this income is a contractor that makes money from the labor of sub-contractors or you could sell your ideal business to other entrepreneurs as a franchise.
All of these income streams will allow you to make money with very little work on your part. With these multiple streams of income when it comes time to retire you’ll have the means to just sit back and enjoy.
