But there are so many to choose from and they all boast several great features like high commission rates, duplicable marketing systems and thorough training programs, and these are all very important but product value is the key.
The product is what you’ll be selling to make a commission from. It is what your distributors will be selling, which you’ll also be making a commission from. There are important factors to consider when choosing a product that you’re not only comfortable selling, but that you’ll be great at selling.
Is it in demand?
A little market research can go a long way in this category. It may be a great product at a great price, but if people aren’t looking for it then it won’t be an easy sell. Look for uniqueness; something that turns your head and makes you say, ‘That’s interesting’ or ‘I’ve never seen anything like that before’. Then assess whether it’s something people would actually use or need.
Is it high quality?
You want the product you’re selling to be well made, look well made and function like it’s supposed to so customers keep coming back for more. It’s also worthwhile to look for something that customers will use more than once in their lifetime; something that needs to be replenished after time.
Is it fairly priced?
This is a big one. Compare the product to similar ones available to make sure you won’t be trying to sell something that’s overpriced. If consumers feel that what you’re offering is a good deal then you’re much more likely to make sales. This is particularly important in today’s economy when shoppers are taking extra caution to spend wisely.
Are you passionate about it?
Choose something that you truly believe in; something you would and will use yourself. Your faith in a product will go miles when selling it to consumers and recruiting new distributors.
Choosing a product that will be both fun and easy for you and your distributors to sell will not only make you more money, but will make life more enjoyable by saving you time selling and recruiting to spend doing the things you love most in life.
